Home Visits

A lactation consultation begins with an in depth assessment of both mother and baby. We listen thoroughly to your breastfeeding experience and challenges you are facing. We observe a feeding. Then we discuss realistic recommendations. Partners and other support persons are encouraged to be present.

A written Care Plan will be provided for you to reference while you are home. You may reach out via text for 48 hours after our session. After that a follow up appointment can be arranged.

Virtual Consultations

A virtual visit is similar to an at-home visit except we will be meeting via a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform. Many less-complicated issues can be resolved with a virtual consult.

A written Care Plan will be provided for you to reference while you are home. You may reach out via text for 48 hours after our session. After that a follow up appointment can be arranged.

Prenatal Lactation Consultation

The more you know about breastfeeding prior to delivering your baby, the better! While breastfeeding classes are wonderful to take during pregnancy, a prenatal lactation consultation goes a step further. We will discuss your feeding goals and address any concerns you may have. We will also review your health history as well as perform a breast exam and discuss if there are any factors that may impact your breastfeeding goals (for example a history of breast surgery, diabetes, thyroid disease, PCOS, or Insufficient Glandular Tissue). Finally, we will explore specific strategies to help you meet your goals. This is a very informative session that usually lasts 60-90 minutes.

Rates

Breastfeeding Consultation: $150 (~1.5 hrs)

Prenatal Consultation: $150

(A small travel fee may be applied depending on your location.)

I do not accept insurance however I can provide clients a superbill to submit to their insurance company. Client pays in full at time of service then the insurance company (hopefully) will reimburse all or a portion of the fee directly to the client. Clients are encouraged to reach out to their insurance companies prior to ensure they will be reimbursed.
